How To Build Your Own Spaceship

Guess I've been on the same wavelength as Colin, reading about space, fiction or non! This short book by Piers Bizony is very interesting. He discusses the basic science behind propulsion and orbits, some history of space travel, and a great deal about past and future commercial opportunities. Bizony has a dry sense of humor and overall the book is informative and entertaining. (Famous dancer Buzz Aldrin recommends it).

  1. I'm somewhat disappointed that this does not actually include plans for a personal rocket ship, but it sounds pretty good nonetheless. Does it discuss the era of space-tourism that we seem to be poised on the brink of?

I just picked up two space-related books from Powell's last weekend, Lost Moon (by Jim Lovell about Apollo 13), and Rocket Men (about Apollo 11). Looking forward to them both.
